I feel awful. But i know no-one reads it anyway :')
What to blog about after all this time?? Welllllll...I'M GOING TO UNIVERSITY. Which is VERY exciting!! I'm not gonna go on about it though cos i'll save that for when i'm actually there.
MOST EXCITINGLY OF ALL-i met Chris d'Lacey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's my favourite author EVER (he writes The Last Dragon Chronicles) and he is the loveliest guy ever. Had a proper good chat with him actually, and we've talked on Twitter a bit. LEGEND. He's really encouraged me to keep writing...nothing like your favourite author telling you to keep at it to get you to carry on writing!!
I want to have a mini-rant. It's actually copied off my Tumblr (http://www.thedoctoratemycake.tumblr.com/) but there you go. RANT.

I'M SORRYYYYY!!!! Also, Neville.
I feel like i have abandoned my blog. It's like, a month since i last wrote up here. I apologise. I'mma give you an extra-special Deathly Hallows blog as retribution :)
NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM. I love him. I mean, what a badass!! He has some epic lines in DH2 not to mention another awesome knitted jumper. And he's from Leeds which is about 15 miles away from where i live. ACE.
I also love McGonagall who's also become a bit of a badass (although she kinda always was) and her "i've always wanted to use that spell!!" <3
SNAPE. I've never really liked him in the books or the films but i've seen DH2 twice now and both time i cried at the Prince's Tale </3 i am most definitely on the 'Give Alan Rickman an Oscar' bandwagon. I love him.
What set me off crying (both times) was Fred </3 firstly when George asks him if he's ok before the battle and then when he dies :'( tragic times. I think it's more George's reaction to it all that's the most upsetting thing.
Me and my two friends dressed up, naturally :) i was Luna, Zak was Harry and Rachel went as Tonks-pink hair and all. I was almost more excited about dressing up than seeing the film...until it started and then i was so wrapped up in it, i forgot i was in a blonde wig. I'd even made myself radish earrings but they were clip-ons cos i don't have my ears pierced and clip-ons (as i have discovered) are really painful!! So i took them off when we got off the train :') ah well. It's the thought that counts, or something.
One of my favourite moments in the entire film is when Voldemort gives Draco a hug :') it's the most awkward thing ever, it's great :D
Ummm...i can't remember which other bits i was going to talk about. Only that they kept in my two favourite lines-"NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!!" and "of course it's happening inside your head...but why should that mean it's not real?"
Fab film, everyone should watch it.

Aloha!!
Hello Bloggers :)
Been very, very busy with exams and whatnot so i haven't blogged for ages!! So i thought i'd touch base while i'm here...
I miss Doctor who incredibly at the moment-although it is exactly one year since The Big Bang was broadcast (Amy's time) which is pretty cool-might have to watch it again this afternoon :)
I feel i should admit that i'm REALLY into Smallville at the moment, i literally find weekends boring because there is no Smallville on. They've been showing series 7 every weekday on E4 at lunchtimes so it's become a bit of a ritual for me to sit down and watch an episode every day :') i'm listening to Pioneer to the Falls by Interpol as i type cos it was used in an episode the other week haha
OH also, i'm going to Edinburgh Book Festival!! Hopefully :) but yeah, going to meet Chris d'Lacey, my HERO. So pretty excited about that. Also exciting is that i'm having a Doctor Who picnic next week :D i'm River Song-we're all dressing up. It's gonna be ACE.
Anyway, i'll stop rambling now, till the next time!!

A Good Man Went To War/whose responsibility is it to kill Hitler?? *SPOILERS*
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hoping everyone enjoyed the episode!!!! As you are potentially able to tell, i thought it was alright. Ok, i thought it was flipping amazing :) :) i thought it was a really funny episode considering it was quite serious in places and also considering it was the mid-series finale. I LOVE how the Doctor can speak baby!! We were all laughing our heads off in my house :')
This is gonna be quite a short posting, i just wanted to point out that i was kinda right about River Song!! (see previous post for full details of my genius)
Oh, and 'Let's Kill Hitler'?? Bring on the autumn!!!!
Ga la gurgle (that means 'bye bye' in baby speak...yeah, i speak it too) x

A Good Man Goes To War...tomorrow!! *SPOILERS*
I NEED to blog about this now, chances are i won't get round to it tomorrow and then it'll be TOO LATE!!
So who's excited?? MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! So many answers (i hope) that we've been waiting for and probably a whole heap more questions that need answering. Hooray!!
Firstly-River Song. She's not the Doctor's wife, let's face it. I will gladly hold my hands up if i am now wrong, but many members of the cast have said how much of a shock it was, so i don't think it'll be that obvious. UNLESS she's a Time Lady, which i've had suspicions about for a while now, in which case she could be his wife from Gallifrey. Who knows?? No pun intended there.
Secondly-(yeah yeah, i like to work through things logically) THE BABY!!!! Is it Rory's?? I'd like to think so. I've had suspicions about Rory for a while too. Is he all he seems?? Is he even human?? Sorry, i'm a suspicious person when it comes to sci-fi :') forgive me. But yeah, back to baby-is it a normal baby now?? Seeing as the whole pregnant/not-pregnant thing was because she was actually Flesh?? I'm coming back to that in a sec. I reckon the baby has a time head. And i hope it's a boy. Just saying.
Thirdly-OH. MY. GOSH. SHE'S FLESH!! Wasn't expecting that one!!!! I've been trying to work out when she got swapped...at first i thought it was after she disappeared in the little girl's room (the actual room belonging to the little girl, i don't mean the ladies' toilet) BUT i'm pretty sure it must've been before that because she saw Eyepatch Lady in the door BEFORE she went in. So i'm thinking it could hav even been before this series started...again, who knows??
Fourthly-(and i think lastly) Eyepatch Lady is WELL SCARY!!!! I proper loved her before this but having seen her at the end of The Almost People and then looking at the previews, prequel and trailers AND having read loads of articles about AGMGTW, she is NASTY. Don't like her. I'd poke her in her good eye if i met her now.

I think that's everything i wanted to say for now, apart from i am in love with Rory and if things don't work out for him and Amy in this episode, i'll be glad to take him off her hands. Adios amigos :) x

EXTREME Rock Paper Scissors
Almost in an attempt to out-do ourselves in the insanity department, me and my friends came up with an extreme version of Rock Paper Scissors. It's a three player game, we haven't properly tried it out yet so we don't know how well it'll work. Some combinations of objects/people/whatever have no effect on each other. There are tag teams, there's one object that needs a dice and all sorts of other complicated things. I've put in bold the items that are in one or more tag teams. Here are the rules. Good luck (understanding what the hell this is all about.)
** Cement beats tarpaulin UNLESS the third person is rain, in which case they form said tag team to defeat rain
*** In the event that each of acid, rain, and fire are used, you'll have to fight to the death to decide a winner.
If you would like to know more, just ask. I can't promise i'll be able to give a comprehensible answer but feel free to ask anyway :) if you try the game out, let me know how it goes. Bonsoir.
- Rock BEATS scissors, glue, pea shooter, cardboard, pin, Ginny
- Paper BEATS rock, Ginny
- Scissors BEATS paper, water balloon, cardboard, pin, tarpaulin, Ginny
- Glue BEATS paper, scissors, cardboard, Zak, Ginny
- Fire BEATS rock, paper, scissors, glue, pea shooter, cardboard, tarpaulin, Ginny
- Water Balloon* BEATS paper, fire, cardboard, Ginny
- Cement BEATS rock, paper, scissors, glue, pea shooter, cardboard, pin, tarpaulin**, Ginny
- Acid BEATS rock, paper, scissors, glue, water balloon, pea shooter, cardboard, pin, Ginny
- Pea Shooter BEATS paper, glue, Ginny
- Cardboard BEATS paper, Ginny
- Pin BEATS paper, glue, pea shooter, cardboard, Zak, Voldemort, Harry, Ginny
- Rain BEATS paper, fire, cardboard, Zak, Ginny
- Tarpaulin BEATS pea shooter, rain, Zak, Voldemort, Ginny
- Zak BEATS rock, paper, scissors, fire, cardboard, Voldemort, Ginny
- Voldemort BEATS rock, paper, scissors, glue, fire, water balloon, cement, acid, pea shooter, cardboard, Ginny
- Harry (Potter) BEATS rock, paper, scissors, glue, fire, water balloon, cement, acid, pea shooter, cardboard, rain, tarpaulin, Voldemort
- Ginny BEATS Harry
- Acid and Fire BEATS everything***
- Acid and Rain BEATS everything***
- Cement and Tarpaulin BEATS rain
- Zak and Water Balloon BEATS everything except tarpaulin
- Zak and Pea Shooter BEATS Voldemort, Harry, Ginny
- Zak and Harry BEATS tarpaulin, Ginny
- Pin and Water Balloon-this tag team means that water balloon does not need to throw a dice, because it'll definitely pop

Eurovision!!
Soooooo...who's brave enough to admit they watched Eurovision?? I can't really deny it seeing as i posted a billion facebook statuses about it :') i like to think that i really get Eurovision. I am its intended audience. I can't help it. It draws me in, like a comet pulled from orbit or something. I get proper excited by it. I watch the semi finals. I score that countries. This year i even painted my nails as little French flags because I thought (and still think) Amaury Vassili should have won.
Anyway...my favourite acts this year (apart from France, back to them later) were most definitely Moldova, Sweden, Ireland and Spain. Can't believe Spain came last-it was such a happy, catchy song!! Never mind. For those of you who didn't watch it, Moldova were represented by Zdob si Zdub who wore massive cone hats, shouted most of the song and featured a unicycling fairy. Yeah. Here's the link-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqNmLtMBTSw. I have seen this countless times now and i still hasn't lost any of its...umm...charm.
Also singing this year were, of course, Jedward, representing Ireland. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXouSYabDig. If you think they're out of time due to excessive excitement and energy, you should have seen them in the final. Unfortunately i couldn't find i link but trust me, it was like watching two sparkly red monkeys who'd had one too many cups of coffee and had just been told there would be free cake for all. My family were in tears of laughter watching them. Naturally, the UK gave them 12 points, but the traitors only gave us about 6!!
On the subject of voting, Graham Norton was on top form-when France gave us one point, he commented "One?? We built a tunnel to your country." Whatta legend.
Sweden had a really good artist this year-Eric Saade with his song Popular. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nfx0OMM2u0A. He actually looks spookily like someone i know. But i really liked his song, and the glass breaking, although that didn't work out on the night...probably a good job-health and safety would have had a field day!!
The UK placed 11th overall, which isn't that bad, although we were third (i think) the other year. But with 100 points, that was ten times better than last year!!
So, back to France. AMAURY VASSILI. I have already decided to name one of my children after him. Unless i marry him. Obviously. I absolutely LOVE his song <3 ok so it maybe wasn't 'Eurovision' enough, but only because it was so damn good!! One sec...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwhMsJQl2ps. There are no more words.
Anyway, i hope if you did watch it that you had a great night, and maybe if you've not watched it, i might have convinced you for next year...? No...ah well. Over and out x

EYEPATCH LADY...*SPOILERS*
So for all you Whovians out there, you may have noticed the existence of a mysterious eyepatch lady in the last two episodes. She looks like this...
So far, only Amy's seen her, through a disappearing hatch, and all she's said is "no, i think she's just dreaming" (Day of the Moon) and "it's fine, you're doing fine. Just stay calm" (The Curse of the Black Spot). WHO IS SHE?? Why can only Amy see her?? Why does her little hatch keep disappearing?? Why does she have an eyepatch?? Is she human?? Is she a goodie??
"Hello, i'm Eyepatch Lady. I'm very mysterious and stuff. Ho ho ho." (N.B. not an actual quote.) |

I was reading some forums and whatnot last night-many people think she could be a midwife of some sort. Also, one clever soul thought that maybe Amy is trapped between two worlds somehow which is why she appears pregnant and not pregnant at the same time. This theory also links to the episode Amy's Choice from last year because Amy was preggers then too and there were two worlds there. I dunno. I thought midwife but then i think it'll be something completely unexpected because that's how Steven Moffat's brain works. Having said "WHO IS SHE??" in big capital letters, i've just remembered i know her name-Lady Kovarian. Not that that really makes anything clearer :') but it's something i suppose. Apparently she's going to appear in episode 7-'A Good Man Goes To War' which is where she's listed as Lady Kovarian. I know nothing more.
Blatantly i know absolutely nothing exclusive or exciting, i just needed to get it out my system. Will probably do a follow-up post at some point once we know a bit more :) hasta luego x

CAN YOU DANCE LIKE A HIPPOGRIFF??
So, in case you didn't know, i'm in a band called Pantheon of Dischord...
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Pantheon-of-Dischord/339604244462
Anyway, me and Rach are both pretty big Potterheads and in honour of Deathly Hallows Part 2, we're going to have a HP-themed musical session!!!! Covering Do The Hippogriff by The Weird Sisters (hence the title), the Hogwarts School Song and possibly some Ministry of Magic because they're AMAZING. We're also dressing up as our favourite characters to go see the film but that's another story...
Check out our Facebook page anyway cos all our music is up there. We mostly do covers of pretty much anything, so there's almost certainly a song you'll like and we do consider requests!! I'm also hopefully making us a YouTube Channel soon so i'll keep you posted on that :)
If you have any other Potter-ish song suggestions for our Deathly Hallows Day then let me know, either comment on here or write on the wall of the page :)

Enjoy the Silence
NEW FAVOURITE SONG.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2xUMiUrCs8
Words like violence
Break the silence
Come crashing in
Into my little world
Painful to me
Pierce right through me
Can't you understand
Oh my little girl
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm
Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Words are meaningless
And forgettable
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm

Recipe for Butterbeer
Cream soda
Butter
Cream
Butterscotch (chips, sauce or both!)
1. Pour the cream soda into a cup, and the butter & butterscotch into a a small bowl.
2. Put the bowl of butter and butterscotch in the microwave and melt it.
3. Put the cream soda in the microwave, but not for long because you want it to be moderately warm, or it isn't fizzy and good anymore!
4. Pour some melted butter and butterscotch in the cream soda but not too much!
5. Pour some cream in. Then stir it all up.
It might take a few tries to make it to your liking!
I should say that this isn't my recipe but it's incredible!! Can't wait to try it!!

The Impossible Astronaut...*SPOILERS*
I just realised i never wrote about the new Doctor Who episode!! For goodness sake!! Some blogger i am!!
Sooooo...the long-awaited, much anticipated Series 6 began this Saturday, and i should say at this point if you're still reading and missed the caps lock in the title, this post WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS. So stop reading already. That is, if you've not seen the episode. If you have, read on. Kinda why i'm still writing.
Anyway, we knew, courtesy of DWM, that one of the Doctor, River, Amy or Rory was gonna die in the two episodes. I think we'd all made our little judgements beforehand. I thought it was going to be River or Rory, purely because they've died before so we wouldn't be expecting it. But i was wrong. Clearly. I was in shock, to be honest. But then i was in shock most of the way through.
SCARY SCARY.
The Silence are scary!! Even more scary is the preview of Amy covered in writing like in The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit which were the most terrifying episodes ever!!
AARRGGHH!!
I like Canton.
Hahahahahahahahahaha Mrs Robinson.
I realise this isn't a very evaluative blog post but i don't care.
Also, it says something about the quality of writing that i didn't really listen to the soundtrack that much throughout.
Over and out...for now x

I have a present for you...

Yes, that is me. In the white top and blue tights, not the grey wig. I admit that if you haven't seen the Potts Family before, this isn't as funny as it might be, but just the "PUT IT ON MY FOOT WITH YOUR FACE!!" makes it worth watching. Have a looksie. We perfomed this to 300-odd children after one ten minute rehearsal. You can't tell.

My Extremely Very Excitable Murray Gold Post
KJAGHEBAKWJGTIOHNJZVHSDKEJAQNNMXZVNKJBNGKFSFNAMFRNGJHEVGFKPWO.
Ok, that's out my system now. Might even have a competition with that-see how many words you can make :') Anyway, the soundtrack from A Christmas Carol was out last week so i thought this would be an appropriate time to have my little "I LOVE MURRAY!!" rant. So here it is:
In my personal and humble opinion, Murray Gold is one of the greatest composers in the world. This is why:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89T0xtfYta0
Ok, hats off to Katherine Jenkins, she does make this spine-tinglingly good HOWEVER i think it is one of the most beautiful songs ever written ever. This is not the only reason for loving Murray Gold. NO WAY. Over 6 soundtracks, Mr Gold has produced some of the most triumphant, delicate, exciting, emotional pieces of music i've ever heard. Really. Vale (from the Specials soundtrack, disc 2) is just INCREDIBLE. One sec, i'll prove it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGW5fL6bhCY See? I cry just listening to this sometimes. Even if you didn't know the story behind this piece of music (David Tennant's last scene...big dramatic finale type moment), you can't deny that it has real emotion and truth to it. GENIUS, i'm telling you. Genius.
Need a lullaby?? Look no further...Murray supplies many a good bedtime song including http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1sadZktyos and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IR3VDn14D4Y <3 I was about to write 'music to my ears' here but then i realised that's exactly what it is. Ahem.
Shivers- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goeBFfW9NLA, excitement- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND9-z0EBEnk, tears- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq-DhjidQxk
Another reason to love the man-he is hilarious. Follow him on Twitter for nuggets like "Thought 'Iron Lady' was a female version of the Robert Downey movie. No. It's about Mrs Thatcher. My music pitch will be way off" and "Hey aliens...Grbnu Sprknt 'Earth', vf grusket yrprik 'not tasty' frgtyt 'Glenn Beck' vf 'Colonel Gaddafi' strywp 'very tasty'".
I don't think Blogger wants me to put anymore links into this post which makes me sad. HOWEVER some other good tracks are 'Doctor's Theme', 'This is Gallifrey-Our Childhood, Our Home', 'A Dazzling End', 'Westminster Bridge', 'Voyage of the Damned Suite' (it's 10 minutes but stick it out, it's SO worth it), 'With Love, Vincent', 'UNIT Rocks', 'Songs of Captivity and Freedom', 'Rose's Theme' and 'Only Martha Knows' <3
Listen to him. You know you want to.

Movie soundtracks and why you can never listen to enough of them
This is going to be quite an excited post. I apologise in advance. Sooooooo...i'm having another music geek-out BUT this time it's not foreign!! Well, i suppose some of it is but it's instrumental so you don't have to worry. Much. So yeah, this time i'm reviewing composers-specifically movie/tv soundtrack composers. Gonna set it out a bit like my last post so you can scroll through them easily. Have fun!!
Peter Pan (2003)
Composer-James Newton-Howard (also known for: Pretty Woman, Space Jam, Batman Begins/The Dark Knight [with Hans Zimmer...more on him later], King Kong, I Am Legend, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, Salt, The Last Airbender, Gnomeo and Juliet...)
You will almost certainly recognise some of this soundtrack. The track 'Flying' was used on an old Disneyland advert and is also one of the greatest pieces of music ever written. In my humble opinion. Listen if you like the film, listen if you never want to grow up.
Hook (1991)
Composer-John Williams (also known for: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Schindler's List and being a general musical genius.)
You might wonder why i'm reviewing a less-known soundtrack for John Williams. Well let's face it, most of you can probably hum themes from all the other films i've mentioned that he's done. This soundtrack (keeping on the J.M. Barrie theme just slightly) is phenomenal, very different from the Peter Pan soundtrack and very typical of Williams' style (which is in no way a bad thing). Listen if you like his other stuff. Or if you're a pirate.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
Composer-Harry Gregson-Williams (also known for: Shrek, Bridget Jones, Flushed Away, Chicken Run)
This is one of my favourite soundtracks-fantasy is always the best place to start for a good score. Again, you'd probably recognise the main theme used in lots of tracks on this CD. Some really beautiful, sensitive tracks such as 'Lucy Meets Mr Tumnus'. Unfortunately, Gregson-Williams didn't compose the soundtrack for Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I cried. Listen if you like fantasy/war films.
Gladiator (2000)
Composer-Hans Zimmer (also known for: Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, The Lion King [instrumental score], The Da Vinci Code, Cool Runnings [WIN], Muppet Treasure Island)
I LOVE THE ZIMMERMAN. Just saying. I actually haven't seen this film if i'm totally honest, but the soundtrack is amazing. 'Now We Are Free' is one of the best movie songs ever for me. Whilst we're on the subject of Mr Zimmer-The Lion King is an incredible soundtrack and i think you should go and see the show. Listen if you like to have your heartstrings pulled.
Titanic (1997)
Composer-James Horner (also known for: Avatar, Braveheart, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Jumanji)
I bought this soundtrack for 1p on Amazon. Best 1p ever spent. Ok, i would have paid a tenner...it's a beautiful score. Celine Dion aside, this is a great CD, i love his use of the electronic vocals on tracks like 'Southampton'. It's a triumph, to be perfectly honest. Listen if you're a big fan of the film or if you like James Newton-Howard (often their styles can be similar).
Doctor Who Original Television Soundtracks (2005-present)
Composer-Murray Gold (also known for: Torchwood, being my hero)
There's quite a lot i could write about these soundtracks/Murray. I have more of his music than any other artist ever. Even Steps. I'm talking like 8 hours. Almost. Even if you're not a fan of the show or even a sci-fi fan, i would recommend this music. There's so much diversity from the excitement of 'Westminster Bridge' to the weepyness (is that a word?) of 'Vale', David Tennant's goodbye music. I may possibly do a whole post about how amazing i think Murray Gold is but for now, i shall leave it at that. Listen if you like music.

"Anyone know any good songs?"
People are always posting as their Facebook statuses "anyone know any good songs?" First of all, this is a silly question. Everyone knows good songs. Really, they should ask "can anyone recommend me any good songs?" Much more appropriate. Anyhow. I know lots of good songs by some pretty damn good artists who are not very widely known, so i'm going to review some of these artists so that the next time you're short of good music, you know where to look :)
D'Nash-an amazingly good boy band from Spain. Ok so you don't speak Spanish? Well...who cares. Their songs are beautiful whether you understand them or not, and let's face it, most modern artists mumble their way through their songs, making it difficult to understand. If you like rock-pop type stuff then i recommend D'Nash. 'Amanda', 'Capaz De Todo', 'Está Vez Sí' and 'Yo Por Ti' are some of their best songs, in my opinion.
Heather Dale-a Canadian Celtic singer. Chances are you've never given Celtic music a second thought. Well...now's the time. She has an amazing voice, which is always a bonus and she writes all her own music. Score. She bases quite a few of her songs on Arthurian legends. A lot of her songs have quite a rock-style feel to them without losing that special Celtic quality. Try listening to 'Mordred's Lullaby', 'Crashing Down', 'For Guinevere' and 'Kingsword'.
Koldun-a Belorussian pop singer. This guy is incredible. He has such a fabulous voice. Ok, yeah, another foreign artist. Well, he does some songs in English as well as in Russian, so if you really can't deal with the language then there's still some stuff out there for you. If you want to listen to some of his Russian stuff, i'd recommend 'Nastroysa Na Menya' and 'Tsarevna'. If not, look for 'Work Your Magic' and 'I Surrender'.
Globus-a world/orchestral band from goodness knows where. I love these guys. They are a bit Celtic-y again but honestly, great music. Their stuff tends to be quite different because there's a couple of composers so i reckon you'll like at least some of their stuff. I would recommend 'Orchard of Mines', 'Prelude', 'Europa' and 'Take Me Away'. They sing in English. Mostly.
Lovers Electric-an Australian (i think) pop-synth duo. Again, fabulous vocals from Eden Boucher, and David Turley looks a bit like the guy from Owl City. Literally no-one has heard of this band and it's such a shame because they're absolutely brilliant. Quite modern as well if you're not convinced by all my Celtic music. Best songs are 'Stay Awhile', 'Honey', 'Love Waits' and 'You Got It'.
The Rasmus-a Finnish (but sing in English) goth-rock band. You actually may have heard of them-yay!! Even if goth-rock isn't your thing, their songs are brill. The lyrics can be a bit over-the-top gothy ("drink this blood and we'll become immortal") but some great melodies, especially from their second album. I'd recommend 'In The Shadows' (you may recognise this track), 'Sail Away', 'Still Standing' and 'Keep Your Heart Broken'.
I hope that you'll like at least one of these artists, i've tried to put a bit of a selection. Just give them a chance-it may blow your mind.
